Barrister Imran Ahmad was born on 1 July 1981 in Islamabad, into a Punjabi family. His father, Zahoor Ahmad, and mother, Surriya Begum, originally hailed from Tehsil Shakargarh, District Narowal. He passed his Matriculation Examination in 1997.

Barrister Imran Ahmad joined the Government Civil Service after completing PCS/PMS in 2008. Later in 2011, he was inducted into the Pakistan Administrative Services (PAS), where he held various distinguished positions including Deputy Commissioner, Deputy Secretary, Additional Secretary, Director, and Secretary. He has 17 years of extensive experience in Law and Administration.

Barrister Imran Ahmad’s life was not less than trials — he has seen many ups and downs but never felt disappointed. The position he holds today is a tribute to his late mother, Surriya Begum, and his father, Zahoor Ahmad. May Allah grant his mother a high place in heaven.
